people to fall in love with Jesus locally and around the world is a core value
of WEPC. To do this, we partner with
people and organizations whose geographical position and/or specialized
skills allow them to share the gospel in ways that extend the physical reach of
the local church body. For one international and one local mission
organization, we are committed to providing hands-on support. For all supported missions, we pray,
encourage, and offer financial support to help them share the gospel in ways
that WEPC could not do alone.
Sponsoring Missions Abroad
San Miguel School Project
After much prayer and consideration, in 2015 WEPC began a long-term connection with the San Miguel school in the Dominican Republic. Besides prayer and financial support, we have committed to taking teams to this site for whatever work is needed at the time. Our first team was able to work on moving the school to a new building in July 16-23, 2016. During 2017, two more teams traveled to the school. From April 1-8, 2017, a team of six presented a VBS to the students while school was in session. They were also able to help the school set up new kitchen equipment to be able to offer food to the students. A team of 13 followed from June 24-July 1, 2017. That team presented a community outreach event, teacher training, and VBS, offered counseling, and worked to touch up painting and facility needs.
